The preceding views describe the territorial distribution of plants, livestock farms, animals, declared emissions and public payments. This section relates that information on the basis of the available public data, without addressing dietary choices.
What you'll find in this section
Italian agrifood plants subject to mandatory environmental declaration (IED Directive, E-PRTR register).
The views collected here cover intensive livestock plants (poultry and pigs) above the IED threshold: where they are located, which emissions they declare (ammonia, greenhouse gases), and which inspections they have received.
What you'll find in this section
All Italian livestock farms registered in the National Livestock Database, by municipality and species, with no size threshold.
The views collected here cover the distribution of farms and animals across the territory, density relative to resident population, the overlap between cattle density and Nitrate Vulnerable Zones, and declared emissions from the regional inventories currently available.
