Analysis

A joint reading of the E-PRTR/IED, BDN and CAP/AGEA views: documented results, territorial distributions and data limitations.

ANALYSIS

Purpose of this section

A joint reading of the data collected in the E-PRTR/IED, BDN and CAP/AGEA territorial views.

The map's views describe the territorial distribution of plants, livestock farms, animals, declared emissions and public payments. This section brings together, in a single reading, the data that on the map is spread across separate views: intensive livestock plants (poultry and pigs) subject to IED declaration and registered in the E-PRTR register, together with their declared ammonia and greenhouse gas emissions and the inspections they have received; livestock farms and animals registered in the National Livestock Database, read by territorial density and in overlap with Nitrate Vulnerable Zones; Common Agricultural Policy payments by municipality, compared against the ammonia emissions declared in the same area. The reading is based on the available public data, without addressing dietary choices.
