What the view shows

A joint reading of declared emissions and inspections carried out at the same plants.

Emission declarations and inspection outcomes show how much a plant releases into the surrounding environment, and how: air, soil, absorption capacity. Read together, NH₃ Emissions, Greenhouse Gases and Inspections and Controls make it possible to distinguish plants with recent controls from plants without a recent check — a distinction that none of the three views alone would make visible.

The three views should be read alongside the methodological caveats set out in the Plants view: the E-PRTR scope does not include cattle, and the absence of a recorded inspection in a given year provides no information about the possible presence or absence of emissions.
